Writing prompt: The mirror

Ready to write?
The door creaks as you turn the handle and open it . You’re here to meet someone important but no one is here but you. Every footstep echoes off the walls.
You spot a mirror leaning against a wall next to the chair you wish you could sit on after your long journey. As you inch closer, a reflection appears. You gasp.
Reach for your notebook and write down what you see.
Try writing 100 words or setting a timer for five to fifteen minutes and see where your words lead. They can take any form. A story. A poem. A play. Anything that comes to you.
We’ve got some great tips for using word prompts here. Happy writing!
